Who Is The Pissed Off Prosecutor?

The Prosecutor

Thomas O’Connell spent nearly 30 years in law enforcement, as a police officer and Assistant District Attorney in New York, and as an Assistant United States Attorney in both Las Vegas, Nevada, and San Jose, California, retiring from the U.S. Department of Justice in 2013.

Arguably, his most interesting experiences occurred during his 13 year tenure in Las Vegas, where he served as both Senior Litigation Counsel and Chief of the Narcotics and Violent Crime Section. See his Significant Case List to get some idea of the insane matters he handled during Vegas’ boom years.

Though frequently pissed off throughout his career, retirement has given Tom much more free time to think about things, and (usually) get even more pissed off.

  1. Hey Stacks, I am anxiously waiting for more content on your blog and am wondering if it will include some of your other areas of expertise.

Chef TOC with his famous recipes from Law School Days, e.g. incinerated chicken a la budweiser.

General Contractor TOC and his plans for house building entirely out of aforementioned budweiser cans. etc.

    1. Joe,

That dish was not referred to as chicken back then. It was called “squate”. In fact, at 33 cents/pound at Price Chopper as I recall, it probably wasn’t chicken at all. And the brew was Meister Brau – with a kick added using the booze you’d embezzled, and McDog sniffed out in your bedroom hiding spot.

Yes, some actual content coming after brief introductions.

BTW, how is the tuner working those days?
